Cycle 1: Sep 14 - Sep 21

Day 1: General overiew of class. Learn about history of programming. Get Java Jive handouts. Learn about my Java website (you're there right now!) Read handouts 1-3 for Day 3 class. Talk about upcoming IHOP trip. Goal for the cycle: Be able to write a simple program that does input and output. Read handouts 4-5 by Day 5. Read handouts 6-8 for Day 1 of Cycle 2.

Cycle 2: Sep 22 - Sep 30

The Week Of Overlapping Trips! Goal for the cycle: Be able to use the Gatling class to idiot-proof programs. Create and use the Mine class. We'll have our work cut out for us, keeping track of who was here for what, but we can do it. Read handout 9 for Day 1 of Cycle 3.

Cycle 3: Oct 1 - Oct 8

We start off this cycle with the heralded IHOP trip. Talk about implied and explicit datatypes. Start work on the Pots program. Add containers and remaining to Mine. Maybe make a little Change. Read handouts 10 and 11 for Day 1 of Cycle 4.

Cycle 4: Oct 9 - Oct 19

Mr G will be out of town on Tuesday, Oct 20. Goals for the cycle: Get to work with Real numbers, using the various Geo programs. Let's see how far ahead or behind the schedule we are before I say when we're going to do what else.
